Biography
Alan
and Valerie Demos began their missionary career as members of the
Germany-based European Impact Team in 1973. They received their
missionary appointment to Greece in 1974 and pioneered that country
from 1975 to 1989.
Obeying the Lord, the Demoses redirected
their ministry to Germany. They settled in Bonn in 1991. From 1992 to
1995, as the German literature coordinator, he wrote, translated, and
supervised the production of over 100,000 new and reprinted tracts.
Simultaneously he served on the district board and helped to establish
new churches elsewhere in Germany.
Returning from furlough in
August 1997, the Demoses intensified efforts to reach the 26 million
Germans in their target states of North-Rhine-Westphalia and
Niedersachsen. They started new congregations in Bonn, Cologne, and
Paderborn and two regular preaching points. The annual September
Gospelfest in Bonn has proven to be a tremendous evangelistic tool.
The Demoses furloughed in August 2001.
