Biography
Born to missionary parents (Bill Drost) in Colombia
in 1950, Brother T.W.Drost has spent all of his life on the mission
field. He has served as a missionary in six different nations for a
total of 33 years (in 2002). He started his missionary ministry in Spain in 1969, then founded the UPC of El Salvador in 1975. In 1981 the Drosts moved to Guatemala and assumed the oversight both of Guatemala and Nicaragua - both of which, experienced great growth.
In 1984 the Foreign Missions Board added Belize to his portfolio, where he was able to start the UPC in that country. Also, in 1986, and while living in Guatemala, the Foreign Missions Board asked him to start churches in Southern Mexico. In 1991, Brother Drost moved to Mexico City and became the Superintendent of the UPC of Mexico - a country that is experiencing great revival!
In January of 2001 Brother Drost lost his first wife, Sister Wanda Drost to cancer.
In
January 2002, Brother Drost was appointed the new Regional Director for
the Central American/Caribbean Region. A couple of months later he
moved to St. Louis, where he has been living, traveling to the Region,
while also still serving as Superintendent of the United Pentecostal
Church in Mexico.
Brother Drost has three sons (Steven, Daniel and Mark) who are also appointed missionaries, serving in the country of Mexico. They are all married and with children - six grandchildren.
