Biography
Iowa District’s former Conquerors president, Louis Johnson and his wife, Martha, received their missionary appointment to Kenya in October 1989. Brother Johnson stated, “I teach in the Bible school and travel throughout Kenya, teaching pastoral seminars and preaching in many churches. I also traveled much in Uganda, preaching and assisting in the establishment of the work.”
Brother and Sister Johnson served as furlough replacements for Arlon and Darline Royer during the Royers’ 2000-2001 furlough. During its January 2001 board
meeting, the Foreign Missions Board granted the Johnsons’ request to
transfer to the nations of Burundi and Rwanda. This transfer will make the Johnsons the first resident, UPCI missionaries in Burundi.
